For the last two years I have been rigorously examining Master Herbalist Colleges who also offer degrees such as a Holistic Health Practitioner and here is my review.
In this Master Herbalist review, I’m going to speak about three online colleges that offer holistic courses and what you should be looking for in a naturopathic college. The accredited online colleges are:
Clayton College of Natural Health, Global College of Natural Medicine or GCNM, and The Natural Healing College
Clayton College – Is a School Of Naturopathy that various holistic courses, but from my understanding they require you to mail in your tests, which can be quite time consuming because you will have to wait for them to mail your tests results back. Their Holistic Health Practitioner courses are also quite expensive…they also do NOT help you get a job and have no internship program.
Global College of Holistic Medicine – They’re not an accreditation mill because they do offer a very small range of holistic courses, but, they too require you to mail in your tests, which can be painful and quite time consuming because you will have to wait for them to mail. your tests results back. Their Herbal courses are also shockingly expensive. They will NOT help you get a job after graduation and have do not have an internship program.
Natural Healing College -NHC offers a vast range of holistic courses, but they DO NOT require you to mail in your tests. Your tests results are instant which means you can complete your online degree fast!
To top it off The Natural Healing College Bachelor’s Degrees are also about ONE HALF the price of Clayton State University and the other schools of health medicine . We should also mention that, their Master Herbalist Online School is probably the best on the planet and they will also help with Internships.

Flexibility Offered In Courses Distance Learning

Social changes have been the biggest push behind taking courses distance learning. Changing lifestyles, upheavals in global economies and other factors have spurred individuals, businesses and the military to look for better access to higher education. Today there’s no quicker route to success than to take courses distance learning via the “information superhighway” known as the Internet.
Social upheavals over the past two decades have caused a wave of new courses distance learning programs. Individuals, the military and global companies all have clamored for access to higher education. Fortunately the Internet has made accessible distance learning a reality.
Using the Internet eliminates the problems of time and space that once kept students and teachers apart. Courses distance learning helps instructors and students come together successfully, allowing the teachers to spread their knowledge more widely, and students to get educations amid the demands of challenging lifestyles.
Skill improvement via courses distance learning helps you assure that you can get continued employment. The job capabilities acquired through courses distance learning equal those obtained via classes on campus. Distance learners also learn self-motivation, self-discipline, online research and study techniques, and many other job skills they can transfer from job to job – even into totally new careers.
To find courses distance learning, look online for programs offered through accredited universities. Stick to accredited courses distance learning rather than any other program. That’s because accreditation means you will receive a quality degree that will be accepted in the marketplace.
Accreditation means that the courses distance learning you study have been through an external quality assurance process for universities and colleges. Accrediting associations and agencies employ administrators and professors in high education to evaluate each school’s operations and academic programs, to see if they meet standards set by the organization. Choosing only from among accredited courses distance learning will ensure you don’t waste your education. In fact, consider it part of your education.
You can gauge what you’ll need to invest in money, time and effort by assessing the amount of credits you’ll need to graduate. A quick way to figure out the time involved is to multiply the required credit hours by a factor of three (3). This will give you a minimum amount of study time you can expect to invest in your chosen degree field. Keep in mind that this number is the minimum; more time and effort likely will be required if you seek a top grade average.
Remember than even one or two courses distance learning will take time and effort on your part. Thus you should carefully review how many credit hours you must complete to earn your degree, as well as the grade point minimum required. It’s said that each credit hour requires three hours of study weekly. If you take too many courses distance learning at once, you’ll find yourself overwhelmed and want to quit. Better to take even one course at a time as you get started, than to overburden yourself and have to cut back. Don’t fall victim to false pride.
Finally, be sure to check out every avenue of financial aid. Higher education costs have kept too many people from gaining a college degree in the recent past. Don’t let yourself be halted by tuition and other costs. Contact the financial aid office of your chosen courses distance learning college or university and apply for scholarships, grants and loans.

Demand Quality In College Distance Learning

College distance learning is fast becoming a primary way for many people to obtain higher education.
Distance learning is defined as a way to transfer knowledge from instructors to students who are separated by time and distance through the use of technology. This practice has become widespread since the Internet became more easily accessible in the early’90s.
On the other hand, accreditation is a process that’s intended to make sure an educational institution provides a quality education, as measured by standards set by an external agency or association. Colleges and universities that are accredited by recognized scholastic associations have been examined by scholars and administrators of higher education.
The process of accreditation is intended to assure that an institution of higher learning provides a quality education in a systematic way. To achieve accreditation a college or university must meet certain standards set by an external body of some sort. For instance, the Distance Education and Training Council is one of five national accrediting bodies listed by the U. S. Department of Education. College distance learning may or may not be accredited by DETC, but a prospective student should make sure that the program in which he or she is interested has some reputable accreditation.
Professors and higher education administrators examine the operations and programs of colleges and universities that seek accreditation from an association or agency. They review the quality and quantity of instructional material for each course, compare that to similar curriculum available at other accredited institutions, and verify the teaching credentials of instructors. These accreditation examiners make sure that the college distance learning programs being offered are not “dumbed down” versions of courses taught in traditional classrooms.
Accreditation examiners review the content of courses to make sure that students in college distance learning programs are held to same rigorous academic standards as on-campus students. Whether the knowledge is being transmitted via audio, video or text files over the Internet, it is crucial that the information and online interaction match that of on-campus classes.
Students of college distance learning programs can earn the same kinds of certificates and degrees available on campus. These can range from certification in a single specialty through two-year associate’s or four-year bachelor’s degrees through master’s and doctorates in graduate study.
Choosing the right college distance learning program for your career goals should involve reviewing information from several schools before applying for admission. Be sure to request information, too, from each accredited college or university that offers the programs you are most interesting in learning from. This will allow you to effectively compare the information from several schools before making your decision.

How would you like to take college courses, even earn a college degree, from the comfort of your home using your own computer? That’s the advantage of getting your education through a distance learning university.
The technical breakthrough represented by the development in the World Wide Web in the early 1990s has spurred the surge of distance learning universities. Thanks to the Web, it’s possible to use technology to bridge the time and space between instructors and students, making it possible for the student to gain knowledge from the instruction without having to travel to a campus.
Unfortunately, as with every technical advance, some have used the technology for less-than-ethical ends. In fact, some distance learning university programs found online are completely unreliable. For that reason it’s crucial that a prospective student select his or her distance learning university with great care.
Start by compiling a list of distance learning colleges. Then check the accreditation of the schools on your list. Accreditation is a process through which colleges and universities are evaluated for the quality of their programs. A distance learning university that isn’t accredited by a reputable external agency may grant you a degree, but that degree may be worthless in real life.
Next, decide what degree you want to pursue: an associate’s, a bachelor’s, a master’s degree or even a doctorate. Not all online programs offer all levels of degrees.
The look over how many credits the schools require you to earn in order to get your degree, along with the grade point average you must maintain. Based on the college’s requirements, you’ll have to decide whether you can commit to the work it will take to achieve your degree.
Nearly everyone these days needs financial help to pay for a college education. You’ll know once you start figuring the costs of tuition, books, fees and other services for a distance learning university how much financial aid you’ll need. You can then contact the college’s financial aid office to begin the process of applying for scholarships, grants and loans. Most distance learning students already have jobs, so a work-study program to help offset college costs isn’t usually an option. However, if you can accommodate such an on-campus program, work-study is another way to pay for your education.
Students at a distance learning university program can have difficulty accessing the student services available to those who attend on campus. That’s why it’s important to find out if there is online access for such services as academic advisement, career counseling, research and library facilities and tutoring.
Finally, as you narrow your search for a distance learning university, visit the academic departments’ section on the web sites of the colleges that interest you. Here you will find more information on the majors and minors offered in each specialty, as well as learn more about various instructors who participate in distance learning. Not all college professors are comfortable yet in conducting a class online, even with the help of a teaching assistant who’s versed in the technology.
This research will provide plenty of practice for completing assignments from your chosen distance learning university. Good luck with your academic career!
